Those who have ever been to a bridal show know it can get pretty overwhelming—you leave with a bunch of business cards and often not much more information than when you started. Events like Make My Day Wedding Expo (MMDWE) are aiming to change that. A smaller number of vendors selected for a variety of styles and price points, volunteers who guide brides around the venue and an intimately sized crowd ensure that guests feel comfortable chatting with potential photographers, planners, venues and more. Brides can “check things off [their] wedding planning list because of the effort we put into making sure businesses have time to talk to a bride about their wedding,” says MMDWE event organizer Tatum Pettrey. “They will be able to see, taste, touch, smell and hear all the aspects of their wedding.” MMDWE also features an afterparty with fashion show, live band and special guest Desiree Hartsock Siegfried of The Bachelorette season 9. February 11 at The Museum and Gardens.
