Waiting in a long line at the DMV is not how a newlywed wants to spend the first few days after their marriage. The process of changing one’s name can be tedious and involves tons of paperwork. After dealing with the stress firsthand, two grooms decided to make the process easier for their brides and future brides alike. The two developed HitchSwitch, an online service that streamlines the process. Customers can choose from three packages, fill out a short form and either print the completed forms at home or have the company send the forms to the proper government entity. The company also offers personalized letters to non-governmental institutions notifying them of your name change. Packages start at $29.
